Updated: May 7, 2020

Bonjour amigos! My name is Brandon, a student at the University of Toronto Scarborough studying neuroscience and immunology. These two DISTINCT majors are under the big umbrella of life sciences. So here it is: the facts and figures of UTSC life sci, short and sweet. UofT has 3 campuses, all equal in academic rating. Lots of UTSC students go to St George for certain courses and vice versa.

Pros and Cons of UTSC

+ smaller campus means...

  • more meaningful relationships

  • better chances of getting opportunities

  • better relationships with profs/peers

+ collaborative environment, everyone helps each other out

+/- lots of foxes, deer, beavers (if you like those critters)

- limited course option compared to St. G (but you can take courses downtown)

- outside of campus is kinda dead

Pros and Cons of UTSC Life Sciences

+ smaller class sizes

+ better able to interact with professors

+/- very environmentally focused campus

- lots of general sciences in first year

- limited program options

- limited course options
